WOOOOW what an awesome night, the event is starting to grow and the core of people who have come to every event to date are still my bestest bestest favourite ones!

We had a really good crack for all of you folks that couldn’t make it, to be honest even if you do it once this year SWPN is well worth a look!

Simons Objectives

Match Report (In context of rugby not football):

The 1st Quarter: Bit of an update from Ben and Baz regarding their property expedition, Barry confessed that he is now afraid of investing, not through limiting beliefs but because of all of the dogs that have nearly bitten his hand off this week whilst he has been leafletting ha, Barry went on record to say “The only thing that stands between me and my millions is…….big scary doggies”.

Kayleigh Steadman has done brilliantly in her search to reach 6 motivated sellers the goal that we set her at the last event, she has really been pushing the boat out and is literally just on the verge of her first investment goooooo Kayleigh.

The 2nd Quarter: Steven O Brien from the Newicon crew gave a quick skim over their newly created “run your whole business online” web solution. Steve believes that websites are dead and I believe him considering I use about 8 different tools to run one business, seems mad to do anything else. Steve then gave a quick run down of Search Engine Optimisation and Google Adwords and quickly retreated, before he appeared to be too geeky to his audience.

Half Time: Oranges and Serious fluids on board

The 3rd & 4th Quarter: Mr Simon Zutshi really cleared up, whilst sporting sunglasses as his left eye was giving him serious bother, he strapped himself up like any England international would do and he soldiered on. He gave us the real deal regarding “why are we not investing already” he obliterated any excuses that we may still of had in the pipeline, explained reasons around any of the excuses anybody came up with and even dispelled the property myth that “we dont invest in property because we LOVE property, we invest in property becuase we might to be financially secure enough to actually do with our lives what we want to do with it” although Hilary Hutchinson begs to differ and believes she would love to research property full time, Sue Orwin also thinks its very difficult to get to London he he (you have to of been at the event to understand my sarcastic undertone).

The wounded soldier marches on

Sue thank you very much for the Secret by the way I will be watching this evening. Simon finally made sure that we set MASSIVE goals to really reach for the stars as long as we want them! All round his enthusiasm and passion for property was superb.

Michel is note taking not asleep and Gareth (in gray) ....you're losing it on top sorry mate!

Full time into Injury time: Goal Setting time, we use Kwesi as our brave guest and Simon sets him a very ambitious goal:

By the 5th May 2009 he will find out how to find good enough property deals to sell to other people @ roughly £2,500 per lead for 100 leads. He must find 5 people to buy them, people not from SWPN, they are a back-up!

We’ll have Kwesi to the front to report next time.

Then it was Network central with a few jars as the ref (Ben) called time!

The Virgin founder believes that the depth of this recession and its impact on once-impregnable industries has presented entrepreneurs with their greatest opportunity in generations.

“Fortunes are made out of recessions. A lot of entrepreneurs get going in the economic depths because the barriers to entry are lower,” he said.

Housing waiting lists in England will reach record levels by 2011, according to a body of housing associations.

An extra 200,000 families over the next two years will push the total to a new high of around two million, the National Housing Federation said.

It predicts that 80,000 will lack a home as a result of repossessions and unemployment, and the rest because of the shortage of social rented housing.

Meanwhile, house building will fall by 50% next year to 70,000, it added.

Director Ruth Davison said: “We are currently witnessing a dramatic surge in the demand for social housing, as the recession really starts to bite.

‘Range of support’

“The housing crisis is now so great that, unless dramatic action is taken, it may take decades for the nation to recover… we simply have not produced the number of homes we so desperately need.”

The Federation says there has been a 55% rise in waiting lists over the past five years and predicts a doubling from one to two million between 2001 and 2011.

It wants the government to fund a crash programme of house building to provide 100,000 new social homes over two years.

That would boost the economy and help meet the housing need, it argued.

The government’s target is to build 240,000 new homes each year from 2016.

A spokesman for the Department of Communities and Local Government said: “Along with an £8bn programme to deliver more affordable housing, we’re providing a range of support to keep up the delivery of the homes this country needs.

“We recently announced how we want to make it easier for councils to build more homes on top of action we are already taking, including buying up unsold homes to use as social housing.”

The spokesman added that £550m would be brought forward to provide thousands more social homes sooner for families.

Shadow housing minister Grant Shapps said: “The government’s record on social housing is embarrassing – the average annual number of social rent properties delivered has halved since 1997 and the waiting list is at a record 1.8 million families.”

Liberal Democrat housing spokeswoman Sarah Teather said: “The government allowed the bubble in the housing market to get out of hand for many years. We are now seeing the results of that bubble bursting… ministers should now allow councils to borrow money to buy up cheap land and empty properties to save construction jobs and rebuild Britain’s dwindling stock of social housing.”

On a serious note we would like to thank John for trekking all the way down from Manchester and back home again the same night! He gave us so much useful information and has eliminated any excuses from anyone regarding buying property and how to find the elusive fantastic deals.

Well done Sue for participating in our “ask the audience” slot. For anyone that doesn’t know Sue and her husband have just found 2 great deals through leadfinders, if you want to know more you’ll have to come the next event – HA!

Masterminding goals

So at the next event we will all hear how Kayleigh has been getting on with the goals that we set her with a little help from the master to make the goal very specific and results orientated. Good luck Kayleigh and get cracking the next event is only just round the corner.
